As soon as I started reading I couldn’t stop!!

This is defiantly a Fic that you can get your teeth into; it’s a roller-coaster ride of hurt, anger, love, grief and revenge, and it captures you from the very beginning!

Bella’s life is turned upside down after a tragic accident that leaves her without her husband and daughter. It’s safe to say that she isn’t coping very well, but she soon discovers that she has a disturbing talent that helps take her mind off of the numbness. She realises that she has a new purpose in life, keeping the memory of her loved ones alive and violence! Violence helps her rediscover the memories of her loved ones so needless to say it’s not going to be pretty for those in the receiving end.

“Every time she landed another crushing hit, the red around him got smaller and it felt fantastic. The more he screamed, the more satisfied she became. She stepped on his femur and grabbed his ankle. Effortlessly, she bent his leg until it gave a sickening snap. She started laughing out loud with the euphoria as she proceeded to break each of his limbs. He was screaming like an animal getting hit by a car and it made her so powerful.”

Edward is the man who has and gets everything that he wants with the click of his finger, the object of his affection is Bella, she is ruthless and that turns Edward on even more, he has to have her and he will stop at nothing to get her!

"You will be mine, you vicious bitch."
He bit his lip as he watched her merciless, flawless actions. The last image was his favourite. She glanced towards the camera covered in blood and smiled like a kid on Christmas morning.
Edward Cullen always got what he wanted. He fully expected the girl to be delivered to his door.
"And soon."

Mrs. TheKing has done an absolutely fantastic job with this, its dark on so many levels and it’s great to see Bella kick some ass!!

Not only do you get a whole lot of violence (which in my opinion is always good) but you also get a truly heart breaking story, seeing Bella trying to cope day in and day out was really hard. It’s so well written, the author has done an excellent job with the essence of Bella’s grief, and with each word you feel every emotion.

Enjoy.....

The summary for this had me very intrigued, KILL Edward? (Collective Fandom Gasp!) It was certainly a summary that deserved more investigation, and by the end of chapter one I was hooked. Bella is hurt is the most devastating of ways, and clearly has not found a way to cope with this. Her sadness drips from the page. It’s as if she is seeing herself through a sheet of glass -- she is numb.

“She had been numb for so long she almost liked the feel of her heart clattering wildly against her ribcage.”

And that’s when her “special ability” is unmasked.

I don’t want to spoil it..but it’s a unique gift and one that helps Bella make it through the day.

“His red aura touched her skin and she felt her blood boil. Her skin was so incredibly alive. He pulled her through the crowd and out and exit door, snarling victorious insults at his buddies in the club.”

Donna is right when she says this is a roller-coaster, and it’s one that I love every minute of! The chapters are a perfect size the lure you in, and before you know it you’re all caught up and are left thirsty for more!

It isn’t until the more recent chapters that we meet Edward, though I was caught up in Bella’s story so didn’t miss him at all. Edward is, along with Bella, is very different. He is cold. Evil, even.

“Power was a surge that he loved, but lately—and he would never tell a living soul this—the power hadn't given him a rush in a while. He had become more vicious, asking for things that were unattainable, and yet people found ways to make his wishes a reality. Impossible things. Horrible things. If he could dream it up, others would do it.”

There are currently seventeen chapters, but the chapters are a nice size, and therefore, it’s a quick read. We’re just getting to the good bits -- the interaction between Edward and Bella, and maybe, so answers about their “gifts”.

"I think you need to understand how dangerous I am, Isabella. This bravado will only be tolerated until it bores me."

Mrs. TheKing is certainly twisting this Edward and Bella into characters rarely seen in the fandom, and I love her for it!
